This is a separate chicken posse at the Lab, acquired when the Master Lab Technician determined that her other chicken posse wasn’t cute enough.
Young Lab Tech holds Sid (as in Vicious), named because she used to be cocky, wiry, rebellious and has a mohawk. She has since mellowed out and is the friendliest of the bunch. And we don’t actually know if she’s a “he” or “she” yet.
Aug 6 Update:
Sid is a He. This morning the distinctive croaking of a young rooster burped out of his beak, in a sad, humiliating sort of way.
